Our annual Arizona MESA Advisor Training Institute (MATI) is an event that provides educators with an opportunity to explore, share, practice and improve essential skills that STEM educators need to support student participation in MESA and completion of our engineering design challenges. Lead by MESA staff, these workshops will also introduce educators to the 2024 MESA Day Book of Design Challenge Specifications as well as related curricular tools and skill-focused activities aligned with national standards (NGSS, CCSS). Some workshops will provide hands-on, creative experiences in the engineering design process that you can implement with your students.
Sessions will include presentations from MESA partners. Topics will include competition changes, MESA program ideas and activities, Human Centered Design, New Advisor Orientation, and preparing for the national competition.
