Arizona MESA
Starting in California in 1970, Mathematics, Engineering Science Achievement is one of the oldest STEM programs focused on increasing the number of under-represented students interested in and pursuing in STEM. Today MESA consists of 10 states pursing a shared Mission to advocate for STEM education, equity and access. For more information visit the MESA USA website.
MESA began programming in Arizona in the spring of 1984 and is facilitated through The Office of Early Academic Outreach at The University of Arizona. Grand Canyon University's K12 Educational Development department collaborates with Arizona MESA to support MESA in the Phoenix Metro Area.
MESA serves middle and high schools across the state with most schools in the Tucson and Phoenix Metro areas.
In 2021, we also welcome our first community college program at Phoenix College. For more information visit https://www.phoenixcollege.edu/academics/stem/math-engineering-science-achievement-mesa.
